Today I received some very sad news… one of my mentors in my HVAC career passed away.

One of my personal decisions a couple of years ago, was to seek & reconnect with people that have made a positive impact in my life & let them know how appreciative of their time & efforts I was. Norrie was one of these people.
It was my 1st day at Trane Perth, back in January 1994 – a very young 17-year-old, when Norrie (5ft 6”, Scottish, ex-Merchant Navy – 53 years old) took me under his wing… this man was hard as nails, he let you know EXACTLY where you stood, what you did wrong & how to never make that mistake again…
I only spoke with Norrie last week, as he wished me a happy birthday… he was turning 81 on the 19th of August. The photo attached is of Norrie & his lovely wife Teresa.
We all get caught up in the daily race, & sometimes overlook who helped us get to where we are… Reach out, Reconnect & Give Thanks…
