Chiller Evacuations | Essential
As Chiller Technicians, we know the importance of a good system evacuation. In summary, the aim is to remove all internal moisture & non-condensables.
Recently looking for some information on a Carrier 23XRV, we remembered a great example from 2015, of what we prepared for our customer to demonstrate the stages of our evacuation, & how over time the chiller’s moisture levels were reduced… naturally then onto low micron readings & rate of rise.
This is not a display of oil from a typical Chiller evacuation… this particular Chiller suffered a ruptured condenser tube – hence the excessive amount of water.
Note – this is vac pump oil 🙂
Several oil changes, several drier changes… the chiller is still 100% operational today!!
