Back to Basics… Evacuation of Chiller (water laden)
We’ve been keeping a close eye on this chiller… we knew it had suffered a failed heat exchanger tube which resulted in water ingress, but how do you know when you are reducing the large volume of water to low level moisture??
Simple, visual & very accurate – line up the old vac pump oil in clear bottles.
These are the results from 18hr & 6hr blocks of evacuation – 2 x pumps (exactly matched).
Clearly, we are pulling water, not moisture… but, it is actually getting better…
